8:30 a.m. Traditional Blend
The Traditional Blend service is our most "traditional" service. It still blends well with multi-media and musical guests representing all kinds of Christian music. It is built around the second setting of our Evangelical Lutheran Worship book. With all of our worship services, it will develop and change over time.
The word "traditional" is in quotation marks because, for most people, "traditional" means "what I'm used to". Praise Band worship may be traditional Gregorian Chant may be traditional. High-church worship may be traditional. House church worship may be traditional, etc. We are now establishing our own “tradition”.
10:00 a.m. Ancient-Future
Our second service is a combination of the Traditional and the Contemporary called Ancient-Future because it seeks the truest character of both. It's not a Contemporary Service and it's not a Traditional Service, and it's not a service that tries to accommodate everybody by meeting in the middle. It is based on the elements from several settings from our Evangelical Lutheran Worship book.
It will change over time as we get a sense of flow and integrity in the worship service from the congregation.
7:00 p.m. En*Theos Worship
“En*Theos” is a combination of Contemplative Evening Prayer, Bible Study, music and discussion that begins at 7:00 p.m. “En Theos” is Greek for “in God” and is the root word for “enthusiastic”, a part of our mission statement. It concludes by 8:00 p.m.
Come for one, or come for both.
